Adam Dean Nichols - April 7, 2015
Adam Dean Nichols, 25, of Hazleton was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison in the Iowa District Court for Buchanan County on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
Nichols pleaded guilty to two counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, both Class D Felonies; Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Second Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; and Public Intoxication, Third or Subsequent Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. His probation was also revoked in cases in which he had previously been convicted of Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury, First Offense, a Serious Misdemeanor; and Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Serious Misdemeanor.
Nichols is required to pay various surcharges and court costs in addition to providing a physical specimen for DNA profiling and participating in the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program (formerly the Batterer’s Education Program).
