BUCHANAN COUNTY IMPLEMENTS SAFETY MEASURES REGARDING COVID-19:
The Buchanan County Recorder/Registrar Office was created by the First Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Iowa in 1839 and is responsible for recording and maintaining official records affecting title to real estate.
Currently the Buchanan County Courthouse is closed to the public. Due to the closing Michelle Mangrich, Buchanan County Recorder has listed the available services below:
We are available for Marriage Application Appointments starting June 1st, 2020.
We are encouraging customers to call or email us for assistance with Recreational Vehicles, Vital Records and Real Estate. Almost all of these transactions can be completed through the mail or county drop box.
