Commission Meetings

The mission of the Board is to plan, implement, manage, administer and maintain an enhanced 911 telephone system in Buchanan County in accordance with Iowa Code, Chapter 34A and Administrative Rules 605, Chapter 10. The Buchanan County 911 Service Board exists for the sole purpose and function of planning, implementing, and governance of funds for 911 service for persons living within the confines of the Buchanan County service area. The duties of the Board is to plan, implement,  manage, administer and maintain an enhanced 911 telephone system and shall provide for oversight of the collection and disbursement of all monies granted, collected or appropriated for those purposes. The Board will also set forth and define the standards, policies and rules of operation of the 911  Service System with all being within the confines of the laws of the State of Iowa.
